Yolanda with Vern Yip’s new book signing entitled “Vern Yip’s Design Wise” at the Washington DC Design Center’s Spring 2018 Market. Vern’s past HGTV projects include four seasons of his own show titled Deserving Design with Vern Yip and two seasons as host and designer of HGTV Urban Oasis, and Trading Places. His HGTV work also includes eight seasons of HGTV’s top-rated prime-time series HGTV Design Standard several seasons of Bang for Your Buck, where he served as the show’s host and design expert. Vern’s most recent HGTV project, Live in Vern’s House, chronicled the building of his dream beach home. Vern can also be seen on Delta Airlines flights across the globe where he is profiled for Delta’s exclusive on-air program On Creativity, showcasing the most creative minds in design and entertainment
Yolanda and her local RESA Greater Capital Area Chapter attended Doorways for Women and Families 40th Anniversary October 2018. Doorways for Women and Families creates pathways out of homelessness, domestic violence and sexual assault leading to safe, stable and empowered lives. Our chapter made contributions to this awesome charity organization by designing creative interior spaces for women and children to be inspired during their difficult challenges.

Yolanda and her staging professional team staged a home in Montgomery County, Maryland under the leadership of Cathy Hobbs. Cathy, an interior designer from Brooklyn, NY was a finalist on Season 6 of HGTV’s Hot Realty Series “DESIGN STAR” and served as the IKEA design expert for Oprah’s trailblazing “The Life You Want” 8-city tour in 2014.
